Welcome to Tribal Discovery. We're honored to connect curious travelers with indigenous communities across the North East India through immersive, respectful, and ethically curated experiences.

Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before booking your tour packages with us.

1 Booking and Payment Terms
  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. A minimum deposit of 30% of the total trip cost is required to secure your reservation.
  • Full payment must be completed at least 30 days prior to departure.
  • Payments can be made through our secure online portal or via direct bank transfer or GPay. Your spot is not guaranteed until payment is received in full.
2 Cancellation and Refunds
  • Cancellations must be made in writing. Refunds are based on the notice period:
  • 60+ days before trip: Full refund minus a 10% admin fee
  • 30–59 days: 50% refund
  • Less than 15 days: No refund payment
  • If Tribal Discovery cancels a holiday due to unforeseen circumstances, a half refund or credit will be offered.
3 Community Respect Policy
  • Travelers are expected to participate with openness, humility, and respect for the traditions and values of indigenous communities.
  • Taking photos or videos may be restricted in some villages. Always ask for permission first to our tour guide driver.
  • Gifts and donations should be given through Tribal Discovery or local guides to maintain fairness and transparency.
4 Code of Conduct
  • We reserve the right to remove any participant who behaves in a disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe manner, without refund.
  • Consumption of drugs or excessive alcohol is not permitted during community visits.
5 Travel Insurance
  • Comprehensive travel insurance (including medical evacuation and trip cancellation) is mandatory for all participants. Proof must be provided before the trip.
6 Health and Safety
  • You are responsible for ensuring you meet any required COVID vaccinations certificate or health precautions.
  • Tribal Discovery works closely with local partners to maintain safe travel conditions, but travelers must acknowledge risks involved with rural travel.
7 Cultural Intellectual Property
  • All traditional knowledge shared during our experiences remains the intellectual property of the host communities. Reproduction, commercialization, or exploitation of such knowledge is strictly prohibited without written consent.
8 Liability Waiver
  • Tribal Discovery is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to property arising during the trip, except in cases of gross negligence.
  • All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver before departure.
9 Travel Itinerary Changes
  • While we strive to follow the travel itinerary, circumstances (weather, cultural events, etc.) may require changes. We aim to offer equal or better alternatives when such changes occur.
10 Sustainability Commitment
  • Our programs prioritize low-impact travel, local sourcing, and economic benefit for host communities. By booking with us, you agree to align with these principles.
